Foresight
In the FOCUS project, we looked at the future of the social field using the foresight methodology and tools.
WHY?
The human ability to prospect and plan for the future is what makes us different from other species and gives us wisdom compared to them.
Modern psychologists and neuroscience experts have managed to show that a skill of the human brain is its ability to travel through time. Our brain can look towards the future, consciously or unconsciously, and this allows us to learn not only from our own experiences, but also from others.
WHAT IS FORESIGHT?

Foresight is a process that involves forming a participatory vision of the future, designing long-term strategy, and leadership support processes.

Foresight equips organizations with the tools and resources needed to understand changes in the external environment, to ask provocative questions, challenge dominant logic, and test hypotheses.

The future is always uncertain and the experience of the pandemic of recent months has proved this more than ever. The future can be influenced by our (in) actions and can be revealed to us in different ways.

Foresight does not mean accuracy, just as it does not entail predictions. It rather recognizes and takes into account the existence of uncertainties, allowing for the thinking of strategic alternatives and planning several possible ways in which the future could unveil itself.

WHAT IS FORESIGHT?
Within the FOCUS project, the foresight stage and consultation sessions with professionals in the field are led by Diana Stafie, foresight strategist and founder of Future Station. Diana facilitates strategic planning processes for organizations, co-creates future related scenarios and contributes to the improvement of teams to face future realities.
Future Station is a foresight and strategic consulting agency that helps organizations understand change, identify new trends, drive innovation and prepare for the future.
