Forward-Looking Social Europe Skills
WHY?

The social sector is one of the most important sectors at European level, but strongly affected by changes such as demographic trends, economic crisis, population and labor migration.

Through the FOCUS project we aim to increase the number of organizations in the social sector capable of planning and conducting on-the-job training courses for professionals in the sector, who will develop the necessary skills at European level in the perspective of 2030.

HOW?

We aim to increase the number of organizations in the social sector capable of planning and conducting on-the-job training courses for professionals in the sector, who will develop the necessary skills at European level in the perspective of 2030.

Based on consultation with key players (over 200 organizations in 4 countries), the project will develop an inventory of the skills for the future, as well as an innovative on-the-job training policy for social professionals in Europe. A training curriculum addressed to human resources managers within small and medium organizations in the field will be developed, tested and evaluated, with the involvement of 80 organizations in the social field.

WHAT?

Representatives of key players participate in the consultations

220 social workers, employers and social decision-makers from the 4 EU countries will participate in consultations aimed at defining the skills catalog of the future.

Representatives of interested key players participate in a workshop

60 representatives of key players from the 4 countries will participate in a future 2-day workshop to create the skills catalog of the future.

Representatives of human resources departments participate in training programs

80 representatives of human resources departments will participate in training programs on policies for recruitment, selection, retention and motivation of staff in the social field.

Representatives of key players will develop a training policy

8 representatives of key players from the 4 countries will develop a policy for training of the future skills at the workplace, through the Delphi method.

Social workers attend a webinar

40 social workers will participate in a webinar on the impact of digitalization on the activity in the sector.

Representatives of key players involved participate in conferences and meetings

260 representatives of the key players involved will participate in conferences and meetings to disseminate the results of the project.

Organizations in the field will be informed about the results of the project

500 organizations in the field, 2,000 professionals and approximately 20,000 members of the public will be informed about the results of the project.

Social professionals

Approximately 1,500 social professionals at European level will benefit from the results of the project in the next 3 years.
